Site visit: Thames Tunnel System Modification, London

About this event

Thames Water Utilities Limited is building a syphon tunnel and two adjacent shafts within its Beckton Sewage Treatment Works, for the Thames Tideway Tunnel project. The project team is going to host us on site and provide a comprehensive presentation about the project.

After the site induction, you would be able to see operations at both sites under the supervision of experienced engineers who would tell you more about challenges of the project and works on site. Depending on the site activities on the day, you might also be able to go down the shaft, too!

Places are limited so make sure you sign up online as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

On the day, participants must:

  • Have with them a valid CSCS card
  • Have fully compliant PPE including trousers and long sleeve jackets in ORANGE only
