The adaptation of the transport network in Scotland, Glasgow

About this event

The world’s climate will keep on changing for decades to come, even with drastic carbon emission reduction today and tomorrow. The transport sector must think about how to build resilience or ‘adapt’ to the unavoidable consequences of a changing climate.

Transport Scotland is developing an Adaptation Programme for the transport sector. Adaptation Scotland provides a plethora a scientific fact, figures, projections, advice and support to both the public and private sector, to help ensure that Scotland is both prepared for, and become more resilient to, the impacts of climate change.

Adaptation Scotland is a critical friend to Transport Scotland in the development of the transport sector element of the Adaptation Programme. This presentation will explain more about the science, effects and tools available to meet the challenge head on. Please note this is a breakfast event. Registration from 8.00am for an 8.30am start For further information, please contact John Campbell at
