About this event

This year's annual North West Transport Lecture will deal with meeting the environmental challenges around transport encompassing topics such as:

  • Building resilience against increasingly frequent extreme weather events,
  • Planning to limit adverse air quality effects of transport growth
  • Sustainable energy and climate change initiatives based around changing people's travel behaviour
  • All of which remain crucial to the effective planning, design and management of our transport networks and assets.

Following introductory presentations by our expert speakers, there will be discussion to allow questions and in-depth debate on the issues raised.
