The fifth mode of transport, Hyperloop Transport System, Dubai

24 May, 2017 | 18:30 - 20:00

Hyperloop, transport of the future?
Hyperloop, transport of the future?

About this event

Hyperloop is a new mode of passenger and freight transportation system that would propel a capsule-like vehicle through a reduced-pressure tube that would reach a speed of up to 1200 km/hr. The alpha version of the proposal, published on the SpaceX website, describes design of the system, as well as its function.

The capsule would accelerate to cruising speed gradually using a linear electric motor and glide above their track using passive magnetic levitation. The tubes could go above ground on columns or underground, eliminating the dangers of grade crossings. The system will be highly energy-efficient, quiet and autonomous.

The event will start at 6:45 PM with refreshments served from 6.30 pm.

Pre-registration is essential and you will be required to bring along ID on the day.

Due to security reasons all attendees are required to register for the Event. If you wish to book a place for your friend or colleague please send them the registration link to register.
