The Garden Bridge, London

About this event

The Garden Bridge is infrastructure and destination; it is both a 350m long pedestrian bridge over the Thames as well as a 6000m2 garden and place to visit and place to relax in the heart of London

Francis will describe the vision of the project, describing the bridge, the garden and the landings, showing how it fits into the busy city around it.

He will then show how this concept translates into very specific engineering requirements and describe the proposed structural solution, key materials, the construction envisaged and the foreseen programme for delivery.
