About this event

Isg are currently undertaking a major refurbishment and redevelopment of the Guildhall Shopping Centre, including the construction of a new second floor to create two Sky bars and terrace dining areas, six number new and refurbished residential apartments, improved walkways and toilets, nine additional dining and retail units and leisure space including an amphitheatre styled terraced seating area to surround the 12th Century St Pancras Church which is situated in the heart of the shopping centre.

The schedule of works being undertaken includes:

  • Re-modelling of facades and shop units over two levels
  • Construction of new second floor roof top sky bar with external dining area
  • Removal of two existing bridges and construction of one new bridge
  • Extending shop units and forming new openings in the Ambulatory
  • New shop front glazing to all facades
  • New illuminated Planar glazed screen to high street elevation
  • New hard landscape paving and 'Green wall'
  • Improved vertical circulation
  • Improved disabled access
  • New service yard access
  • General stone cleaning, restoration and repairs to existing listed facade
  • Construction of new substation and installation of new infrastructure for the redevelopment and also for provision for future proofing.
