About this event

This new road crossing over the River Dee aims to ease the gridlock at the notorious bottleneck at Garthdee. It represents one of the main structures of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route/Balmedie to Tipperty (AWPR/B-T) major transport infrastructure project, which will significantly improve travel in and around Aberdeen and the north east of Scotland. The team involved will present on the bridge design, where construction is already underway.

The AWPR/B-T consists of four sections and is Scotland’s largest Non Profit Distributing (NPD) contract:

  • Balmedie to Tipperty: 12km from Blackdog to Tipperty
  • Northern Leg: 16.1km from North Kingswells to Blackdog
  • Southern Leg: 18.7km from Charleston to North Kingswells
  • Fastlink: 11.5km from Stonehaven to Cleanhill

Registration and refreshments from 6.00pm.
