Join this free-to-attend evening event which is part of day one of the Global Engineering Congress.

Throughout the presentation, speaker Steen Sander Jacobsen, Head of Technology and Innovation at Maersk Tankers will discuss how innovation in the product tanker industry fits with meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Delegates will also learn about important innovation and sustainability issues, including how to:

  • Evaluate past lessons from innovation attempts
  • Add value for customers through innovation and sustainability
  • Reduce operation costs through innovation and sustainability
  • Keep abreast of technological developments, and investigate and evaluate potential innovations for your organisation

Head of Technology and Innovation, Maersk Tankers

Steen Sander Jacobsen is Head of Technology and Innovation, Maersk Tankers – one of the world’s largest product tanker firms. In addition to his professional experiences in leading innovation, he also has a strong interest in sustainability and the UN’s SDGs.

Maersk Tankers have already started to improve the sustainability of their activities and therefore have valuable insights to share.
