Waste to energy project

Yarra Valley Water has recently commenced construction of a Waste to Energy Facility in Melbourne's outer north. The facility is designed to process food waste into biogas and fertiliser, and represents a fundamental shift in Victoria for the ways wastewater infrastructure works with waste management infrastructure.

This presentation by Ian Donald will describe the facility under construction and how it fits into the development of water and waste management infrastructure. It will detail some of the commercial challenges in developing a successful business case for such a venture, and the potential impacts it will have on the construction of water and waste infrastructure into the future.

Time: 6.30 pm – Pre-dinner drinks (ICE Members & Guests)
7.00 pm – Dinner and Presentation – Waste to Energy Project
