About this event

The Northern Ireland Water / Farrans Construction Ltd / Jacobs "Watermain Rehabilitation Programme" (WMRP) team recently reached a major milestone with the installation of the one millionth metre of pipe for Northern Ireland Water (NIW), installing enough pipe to reach from Belfast to Luxembourg, as well as digging up and reinstating over 3,500 roads from the North Antrim coastline to the Fermanagh border with Donegal in the west.

The dedicated WMRP team, based at NIW's headquarters in Westland Estate, Belfast, have been working on this framework since March 2010 and the overall value of the contract is now approaching £85 million. To achieve this, the project team has involved close collaboration and integration between the staff from Jacobs, Farrans Construction Ltd and Northern Ireland Water. Representatives from all three parties will be in attendance to outline the methods used and processes put in place to enable the successful delivery of the works programme.

Refreshments will be served from 5:30pm, with the event starting at 6pm.
