Buried Services – Why PAS128 is important, Peterborough

About this event

We are delighted that Jamie Crosby from JN Bentley, will be presenting his investigation into an 11kVa cable strike and the importance of following the guidance in PAS128 to prevent service strikes.

PAS128 defines the specification for underground utility detection, verification and location. It aims to provide:

  • Clarity in the service provided and methods employed
  • Consistency in the approach to data capture
  • Classification of the results and the confidence that can be associated with them
  • Standardization of the format of deliverables
  • Accountability for the work undertaken

It is important that employers, consultants and contractors are aware of the industry guidance relating to utility detection and that it is consistently applied to ensure the reliability of data at all stages of a project./p
