About this event

We are pleased to welcome Giampiero Mendola and Emmanuel Iwuamadi from Southern Water to provide a presentation outlining the recent Woolmans Wood Phase 2 Project.

The Woolmans Wood PH2 project is a £8m investment consisting in the replacement of 30km of pipes which distribute water to 42,000 consumers in Chatham, Kent. The primary aim of the project is to address the unacceptable risk of iron compliance failures, and customer contacts for discoloured water caused by old metallic pipes.

The presentation will discuss aspects of discolouration within water networks, desktop and physical investigations undertaken to identify pipes in need of replacement and the most effective way to do so.

Attendance is free of charge but you are asked to pre-register on CIWEM website.

If you are not a CIWEM member you will need to submit a few details prior to booking your place.
