Worcestershire Parkway Station – The challenges in delivering a new station, Pershore

About this event

ICE Hereford & Worcester Branch invites members to attend ‘Worcestershire Parkway Station – The challenges in delivering a new station’ – a joint event with the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT). The event will explore the issues and challenges that have faced the construction of Worcestershire Parkway Station and what it takes to bring the project from conception to completion.

The construction of a new station at Norton, improving the Worcestershire rail infrastructure, has been a part of the local plans since the 1970s.

The talk will explain how the new station forms part of the County Council’s Local Transport Plan, including the county wide rail strategy, and why it is pivotal to the County’s ambitious growth plans to boost region’s economic value to £2.9bn, creating 25,000 new jobs by 2025.
