About this event

In 2013, Bristol was one of the first UK cities to become part of the global network of 100 Resilient Cities (100RC, pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation). A new resilience strategy, looking 50 years ahead, is to be published for Bristol in November 2016. Ann will present on the progress towards this strategy.

Following Hurricane Sandy in 2012, NY has invested $16.9 billion to re-build and improve the resilience of homes, businesses, hospitals, schools, public housing and critical infrastructure. Louise will present on two resilience programmes in the city: NYC Transit Fix and Fortify and NYC Housing Authority Sandy Recovery.
