About this event

Some of the challenges and their benefits for subsea pipe systems will be covered together with recent advances in the technology, standards and adoption. He will touch on other applications in oil and gas including metering and buoyancy.

In addition to oil and gas applications he will cover some related work in the superyacht world.

Charles Tavner

Charles is Commercial Director at Magma Global. He is also a non-executive director of M-Flow Technologies, an innovative composite metering business in the oil and gas industry and is one of the members of the Technology Leadership Board, established following the Wood Review to guide technology development in the oil and gas industry to maximise economic recovery from the UKCS.

Charles has an engineering degree from University of Cambridge and previously led energy investments for the UK listed venture capital company, IP Group plc following over 10 years at Cambridge Consultants, latterly leading their healthcare business.
