About this event

Geraint Lloyd will give us an overview of the Chiplow Wind Farm Project (4 No. 2MW Turbines) focusing upon turbine foundations, access, track and crane pad construction.

Paul Walters will speak about the inspection and assessment of Network Rail owned bridges on the London North West Main Line. Gethin Jones will tell us about Water Main Renewal – Overcoming the Challenges to provide the Safe Delivery of Potable Water.

John Elystan Richards will speak about Vehicle Restraint Systems on the A55 and A483 Trunk Roads and their Whole Life Cycle Cost Benefit analysis.

Geraint Lloyd

Geraint Lloyd (Jones Bros., Ruthin) has a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester and is a Graduate Member of the ICE. Geraint is currently employed as a Site Agent with Jones Bros. and is a Registered Trainee on the Jones Bros. ICE Training Scheme.

Paul Walters

Paul Walters (Opus International, Wrexham) has a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Liverpool and is a Graduate Member of the ICE. Paul is currently employed as a Graduate Bridge Engineer with Opus International at their Wrexham Office and is a Registered Trainee on the Opus International ICE Training Scheme.

Gethin Jones

Gethin Jones (Waterco, Ruthin) has an MEng (1st Class Hons) in Civil Engineering from Cardiff University and is a Graduate Member of the ICE. Gethin is currently employed as an Assistant Engineer with Waterco at their Ruthin office and is a Registered Trainee on the Waterco ICE Training Scheme.

John Elystan

John Elystan Richards (YGC, Caernarfon) has a BSc in Astrophysics from Cardiff University and also has a BEng (1st Class Hons) in Civil Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University and is a Graduate Member of the ICE. John is currently employed as a Senior Technician with YGC at their Caernarfon office and is a Registered Trainee on the North Wales Joint Councils ICE Training Scheme.
