About this event

This event will be a presentation on the design and construction of the Ballinderry Road Junction Improvements, Lisburn at its junction with the Knockmore Road, and the challenges faced in this urban environment. The improvement works included realignment of the Ballinderry Road (East) and widening of the Knockmore Road to facilitate signalisation of the junction.

John Boyle Meng CEng MICE

John Boyle

John is a Chartered Civil Engineer with more than 16 years’ experience and holds the position of Associate within the Highways, Civils and Transportation section of RPS Belfast.

John is responsible for managing design teams within the section for a wide range of highway and civil engineering schemes. He has extensive experience in highway and drainage design associated with public and development led schemes.

John has significant technical capability and substantial experience working on a number of regionally significant projects such as the Titanic Quarter developments, including the development master plan and the iconic Titanic Belfast Visitor Centre; and the NI DBFO2 – a major road scheme involving the construction of four compact grade separated junctions along the A1 Dual Carriageway.

John has also recently worked on the delivery of the Stage 3 Scheme Assessment for the A1 Junctions Phase 2 Project.
