About this event

Come and hear the ICE President, Tim Broyd, talk about BIM & Digital Infrastructure at the joint conference with Asociación de Ingenieros de Caminos Canales y Puertos (AICCP) and other leading BIM & digital infrastructure experts.

Speakers include Professor Tim Broyd, ICE President, a founder member of the UK Government BIM Task Group; Rosana Navarro Heras Subsecretaria de Fomento, Ministerio de Fomento (Spanish Ministry of Public Works) and Jorge Torrico Liz, Secretario Comisión BIM, INECO.

The UK Government BIM Task Group are supporting and helping deliver the objectives of the UK Government Construction Strategy and the requirement to strengthen the public sector's capability in BIM implementation with the aim that all central government departments will be adopting, as a minimum, collaborative Level 2 BIM by 2016.

Spain has set up a Comisión BIM which includes different agents and organisations belonging to both the public and private sectors. Its role is to establish the strategy to achieve a certain level of maturity, which will grow progressively (soft landing), avoiding great changes that may be traumatic for the sector.
