Moving towards connected highways

About this event

The future of highways management is upon us, and the need to make investment decisions based on up-to-date and accurate information is essential. The world is rapidly moving forwards with advancements in technology, raising the expectations for what can be achieved for us all.

The new Code of Practice, together with the DfT drive to make long-term risk-based plans, means that we need reliable, accurate, accessible data and information in order to make better informed decisions.

The concept of connected asset management supports a holistic approach to obtaining intelligence. It involves the linking of all IoT enabled devices and data from across your network, which allows you to gain an enriched understanding and control of your assets in real time, enabling better service delivery. This technology is already demonstrating benefits in other sectors and is the future of highways asset management.

This webinar will explore the impact that the CoP is having on data management strategies, how a connected asset management approach can work, and how to apply it in a local authority setting. Discussion and Q&A will follow the presentation.
