About this event

The £141m Cornwall Energy Recovery Centre has almost completed its commissioning phase before it begins operation. When operational, it will process 240,000 tonnes of landfill waste per year for Cornwall Council, turning waste left over after recycling into electricity to power the equivalent of 21,000 homes each year as well as heat that could be exported to local businesses.

This presentation chronicles the work undertaken by RPS and their project partners in delivering this vital piece of waste management technology.

The event is organised jointly with the Institution of Structural Engineers – Beds & Adjoining Counties Regional Group.
