About this event

In December 2015 Storm Desmond devastated much of Cumbria. The consequential collapse of the A591 carriageway at Dunmail Raise just north of Grasmere effectively split the centre of the county in two. The road is the only feasible road link between Keswick and Grasmere/Ambleside/Windermere and is therefore of vital socio-economic importance to the towns.

The presentation will outline the great efforts made to reconnect the communities as quickly as possible.

Organised by Cumbria Branch.
