About this event

Come along to take part or to support the contestants at the Wales Regional Heat of the Emerging Engineers Awards 2019. They will be presenting papers on a topic of their choice that is relevant to the engineering community, and demonstrating communication skills and confidence in public speaking.

The winner will receive £150, the runner up £75 and 3rd place £25. The successful Regional candidate’s paper will be considered for the national final at One Great George Street later in 2019 where the prestigious Institution Medal and further cash prizes can be won.

Even better, you can enter yourself - entries must be in by 22 March.

Please note candidates must be a member of the ICE.

Entry process

  1. Submit the application form along with an approximately 400-word synopsis of your paper to Tara Sirati [email protected] by 5pm 22 March 2019
  2. Shortlisted candidates will be directly contacted by 29 March 2019 to provide a full-length copy of their paper by 5pm Friday 5 April
  3. ICE G&S Cymru will select entries to be presented in the regional competition on 12 April 2019
  4. The winners will be selected to attend the Emerging Engineers Final in Autumn 2019 at One Great George Street, London where the winner will be selected
