About this event

Aim of the day – to bring engineering into public focus supporting ICE 200 Explore engineering and the Year of the Engineer.  Day starts at 10am and ends at 15:00 during which we can accommodate 8 groups of max 8 people.

Please note:

  • Pre-registration is required through the ICE website.
  • Access is via a set of stairs only due to construction in the car park section.
  • There is no parking due to part of the site being under construction.
  • The duration is max 20 mins per group as there will be no toilet facilities available.

Plan:

  • Arrive at access gate on Corporation Street (See attached location maps)
  • You will be let in through the gate by a member of the day team and brought to the top of the stairs and confirmed from pre-registration list.
  • You must wear flat shoes no sandals / open toes and don safety vest and hat (provided by Network Rail)
  • You will begin your tour walking along the training centre side of the OLE tracks stopping at a couple of agreed points along the way to discuss what they can see / present
  • Max time per session =20 mins including PPE on and off.
