About this event

This talk will focus on the deep excavation for Units 1 and 2 which provide the sub foundation for the Pump house’s, Outfall shaft, Turbine hall and EPR Reactor. We will look at dewatering, slope monitoring, excavation, slope support (Spray concrete and Nailing) and blinding works. We will also provide a brief overview of the Project and scope which the KierBam JV earthworks and enabling works contract covers.

Neil Adams

Now a Project Manager for Kier Neil Adams has worked in the construction industry for 24 years, he commenced employment with a structural steel firm and worked his way up to Contracts Manager before joining Kier 10 years ago.

Since joining Kier he has worked on 3 Nuclear Licensed sites, AWE Aldermaston on project Circinus or HEFF the ‘High Explosive Fabrication Facility’, TMF Urenco building the new tails management facility and at HPC as Section manager for the Deep Dig from 2016 – 2019 and now as Section Manager for ‘Sitewide Infrastructure Management’ (SWIM).

He will be joined by Eleanor Kentish who is the current Section Manager for the Deep Dig at HPC.
