Today’s civil engineers face up to challenges such as incomplete design information, limited time frame, technical competence of people, availability of resources, etc. in the delivery, operation and maintenance of infrastructure projects.
The occurrence of notable project incidents of some civil engineering infrastructures in recent years has raised public concern and alerted the profession to reconsider what strategies and measures professional engineers should implement to better manage the risks of our projects.
In this connection, the Annual Conference 2019 will deliberate on three key elements, namely technology, innovation and governance. This conference will bring together experts from the many strands of our construction industry to share their insights in the theme.
