About this event

Join us for the ICE London AGM and a Panel Discussion entitled: 'Diversity: Creating the new normal'.

Registration, drinks and nibbles from 18:00.

Although there have been a number of improvements over the pasts years, much work still needs to be done to make the engineering industry more representative, inclusive and diverse.

ICE has been taking a lead in this area. Nationally, the creation of the Diversity Action Plan has set out the ICE's aims of creating a more open institution. Regionally, the ICE London and South East England Diversity Taskforce has been established, a joint initiative to increase the diversity of the two largest ICE regions.

However, much more can be done. This panel discussion asks how we make diversity normal. It will examine a number of questions such as how can we as ICE Members create a more diverse industry, what measures have worked and what else needs to be done to make civil engineering welcoming to all?

Panellists include:

  • Anusha Shah, Head- Stakeholder Engagement and Consents, CH2M & Co-Chair of the ICE London and South East England Diversity Taskforce
  • Adrian Coy, ICE VP Membership and Diversity
  • Tania Heap, Mott MacDonald's Group People Director

The discussion will be followed by networking drinks (20:00-20:30).
