About this event

Our Branch AGM is always brief and to the point and we encourage you to come along and express any views you may have on how Kent and East Sussex is run.

Following the AGM our speaker will talk about the NEC4 Suite of Contracts which builds upon the success of the proven and unique processes for collaboration, fair dealing and good project management that are inherent in the NEC philosophy. The contracts have been updated and streamlined following feedback from the industry, considering Government priorities and emerging best practice. The result is a contract suite with improved flexibility, clarity and which is easier to use.

This event is an opportunity for engineers at all stages of their careers to hear directly from Tim Knee-Robinson, a member of the NEC4 drafting team and the project lead for preparing all User Guides for the suite.

His presentation will include an overview of the NEC4 suite compared to the NEC3 suite – the need for the new edition, new contracts and key changes across the contracts. There will be a particular focus on ECC4 as the most commonly used of the contract forms.
