Overview

Artificial Ground Freezing has been successfully applied on many ground engineering and tunnelling projects all over the world in the last few decades. It is recognised as a reliable and environmentally-friendly method of ground improvement to enable the safe excavation and construction of underground structures. The growing demand to improve urban public transport and infrastructure has increased the need to work in difficult ground conditions under complex existing structures.

The presentation will give a historic overview and explain the working principles of ground freezing. It will run through every step, from ground investigation to design and execution. Finally, case studies of recent international freezing projects will be presented.

Registration is not required if you plan to attend in-person.
