Overview

Paris Agreement or moral obligation?

WSP and Corserv join forces to explain why carbon management in infrastructure is so important and outline the ambitious initiatives that both organisations are taking to lower their carbon footprint.

Corserv will provide details on how a company that produces over 150,000 tonnes of materials per year and has a vehicle fleet of over 1,000 can deliver on a pledge to be carbon neutral by 2030.

WSP will showcase how they will deliver on the industry leading commitment to halve the carbon in their designs and advice by 2030.

A summary of project case studies will also be covered including Corserv’s recent trials in warm mix, investment in aggregate recycling, as well as their ambitious transition to 100% Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (ULEV) Fleet.

WSP’s case studies include a partnership in setting a Net Zero Strategy with National Highways, as well as recent design examples, such as HS2, where the client has set an ambitious target to reduce the carbon in the design by 50% against the baseline.
