Overview

Collaborative Conversations (previously The Great Debate) will bring together experts from across the built environment to discuss and evaluate the practicalities of implementing AI in real industry settings.

This event has been organised by The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Landscape Institute (LI), Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). Representing a combined membership of over 360,000 skilled professionals. 

The event will be chaired by Gbenga Oludotun, modern methods of construction lead at SYSTRA UK.

Gbenga will be joined by panel experts:

  • Mar Zumaquero Gomez, global director, Innovation Management at Arcadis
  • Euan Mills, urban designer, digital planning advisor and co-founder at Blocktype
  • Aleksander Gil, founding director at Parametrix Ltd
  • Harrison O'Hara, head of advancing technology and innovation at BAM UK & Ireland

Gbenga Oludotun

Gbenga is a modern methods of construction lead at SYSTRA UK & Ireland, with over 13 years’ experience on the design and assessment of rail and highways structures. He has been responsible for the design delivery of projects including Great Western Electrification Project, East West Rail (Phase 2) and National Highways SPaTS framework.

He was the work package structures Lead on the HS2 Phase 1 Enabling Works contract where he was part of the team that developed the substructure modular elements and deployed them through to construction. He is a past chair of the ICE West Midlands region where he championed decarbonisation initiatives of the region.
