The evening will comprise presentation on great crested newts, delivered by Joshua Stafford, Principle Ecologist at MLM. The presentation will cover; what they are, where to find them, their legal protections and what to do if you discover them on your site.

The presentation will be followed by a practical session at a mitigation site Sweco created as part of the Springfield Lyons Approach development.


Attendees should arrive at the Sweco Chelmsford office for 5:30pm. The presentation will run from 6:00-7:00pm followed by a 30-45 minute practical session on a nearby pond.

Places are limited to 25 so please book early to avoid disappointment. Attendees are advised to bring warm clothes, sturdy footwear and waterproofs.
