Overview

Please note that this breakfast forum will be held from 09:00 – 12:30 HK time.

Traffic and transport are the lifeblood of a modern city and are closely related to various aspects of our daily lives. In order to tie in with economic and social development and enhance Hong Kong’s competitiveness, the Transport Department commenced the Traffic Transport Strategy Study (“TTSS”) in December 2021 to map out a long-term strategy blueprint for Hong Kong.

It aims at building a reliable, safe, smart, environmentally friendly and highly efficient transport system that can not only meet the economic, social and leisure travel needs of the public, but also support the sustainable development of Hong Kong and facilitate the flow of people and goods in the Greater Bay Area.

The government put forward the initial recommendations under the vision of “Transforming Travel to People-centric, Efficient and Green Journeys Connecting Daily Lives” in December last year to shape the future of traffic and transport developments in Hong Kong.
