Development of Lok Ma Chau Loop – Main Works Package 1 comprises construction of the slip road ST01 connecting Lok Ma Chau Road and Fanling Highway/San Tin Highway. This is a pioneering project adopting an innovative Full-Span Erection Method for the bridge construction to enhance site safety and minimise the impact on road users.

The works (Contract No. YL/2020/02) mainly include construction of Western Connection Road Phase 2 through widening of a section of existing Lok Ma Chau Road; construction of Direct Road Link Phase 1 comprising a viaduct of about 720 m long; construction of slip roads connecting Lok Ma Chau Road and Fanling Highway / San Tin Highway including a viaduct of about 340 m long; construction of a cycle track cum footbridge; construction of associated works including road improvement works, footpaths, cycle tracks, slopes, retaining walls, water supply system and drainage system; and provision of noise barriers.

Adverse weather arrangement

The event will be cancelled/rescheduled to another date in the case of a red or black rainstorm signal, or typhoon signal no. 3 or above is in force by the Hong Kong Observatory at or after 16:00. It may also be cancelled because of safety or other reasons.
