Fanling North New Development Area, Phase 1 Fanling Bypass Eastern Section (Shung Him Tong to Kau Lung Hang) Fanling Hong Kong

Overview
The contract mainly comprises construction of an approximately 2 kilometres (km) long dual two-lane Fanling Bypass Eastern Section between Shung Him Tong and Kau Lung Hang mainly on viaducts with:
- Two long span overbridges across the existing East Rail Line
- Realignment of part of the existing Tai Wo Service Road East
- Tai Wo Service Road West and Fanling Highway
- Construction of approximately 2.4 km long noise barriers, and relocation of approximately 400 metres long existing noise barriers along Fanling Highway
- Alteration and addition works to the existing Ho Ka Yuen footbridge
- Reprovisioning of a bus-bus interchange at Fanling Highway with a proposed public toilet and covered walkway
- And associated slope works, ground investigation, geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, retaining wall, drainage works, waterworks, sewerage works, traffic control and surveillance system installation, electrical and mechanical works and landscaping works.
The project team will share the experience in bridge construction of the project in the technical visit.

Notes:
- Clothing: Please dress in light informal attire and don’t wear shorts or dresses/skirts
- Shoes: Please wear safety shoes / boots and don’t wear mules or sandals
- Participants should have the Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate or equivalent document for site safety
- Registration will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis and priority will be given to ICE members.
- Only successful applicant will receive confirmation e-mail.
- Attendance certificates will be provided after 2 weeks of the event only if attendees attend the whole event.
Adverse weather arrangement:
The event will be cancelled or rescheduled to another date in case of Black Rainstorm Alert; or Typhoon Signal No.3 or above being in force by the Hong Kong Observatory 2 hours before the tour. It may also be cancelled because of safety or other reasons.
