Overview

Please note that this webinar is jointly organised by ICE HKA and NEC.

Procurement plays a key role to the success of construction projects. The webinar explains the significance of front-end planning, necessary actions for pre-procurement, and consideration of important contract clauses.

NEC contracts reflect procurement and project management developments and emerging best practice, with improvements in flexibility, clarity and the ease of administration. For better understanding of effective procurement, successful lessons of adopting NEC4 in the Philippines would be beneficial.

Topics to be covered in the webinar:

  • Background, current situation, and procurement norm
  • How Front-End Planning [FEP] (or the absence of it) contributes to the success or failure of procurement
  • From silo procurement to effective procurement – what actions do we need to take pre-procurement?
  • Consider some important contract clauses, typical, payment options, schedule, and dispute resolution
  • Discuss the NEC4 Options A & C and how these hybrid options support effective contract execution throughout the contract lifecycle to achieve innovation, cost-efficiency, and collaboration

Note:

  • Registration will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis, with priority given to ICE HKA members.
  • Only successful applicants will receive a confirmation e-mail.
  • Attendance certificates will be provided after 2 weeks of the event only if attendees attend the whole event.
  • The above is subject to change without prior notice
