Overview

Join ICE New Zealand for the 2022 Annual General Meeting which will be followed by a presentation on the City Rail Link project.

The Link Alliance is designing and constructing most of the fascinating and technically complex City Rail Link project, New Zealand’s largest ever transport infrastructure project.

  • The CRL is a 3.45km twin-tunnel underground rail link up to 42 metres below Auckland’s city centre.
  • It will transform the downtown Britomart Station into a two-way through-station that better connects the city’s rail network.
  • It allows the rail network to ultimately double rail capacity
  • With 3 new stations, 3450m of tunnels, 3km of above ground grade separated rail track and all the associated rail systems integration, we are sure that you will find this an interesting presentation

Link Alliance comprises CRLL / Vinci Construction Grands Projets / Soletanche Bachy International / Downer / WSP / AECOM / Tonkin and Taylor.

Francois Dudouit, (Link Alliance Project Director) will share the story of Link Alliance’s journey to date to deliver the CRL.

Francois Dudouit

Francois Dudouit is Project Director for Vinci Construction Grands Projects. He has over 35 years tunnel construction experience, gained on major projects in France, Denmark, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Sweden and New Zealand. His experience includes TBM excavation in challenging soft ground and hard rock, with pressure up to 13 bars. Between 2003 and 2018, he was responsible first for the construction on the Hallandsås Tunnel Project and then for the SCL 1103 project (part of Shatin to Central Line). Since 2019, he has been Alliance Project Director for the City Rail Link in Auckland.
