ICE HKA G&S, CIBSE YEN, and CIHT HKR YPC are delighted to present the local brewery visit experience. This is a valuable opportunity to connect with professionals from different institutions, expand your network, and engage with like-minded individuals in a casual setting. During the visit, you will be introduced to authentic and natural beer brewing technology and processes and have the chance to taste craft beers that reflect the rich Chinese culture.

Founded in 2014, Moonzen Brewery, owned by Michele and Ladislao Raphaël, draws inspiration from Chinese folklore, specifically the Moonzen, which represents spiritual guardians of entrances and good luck. Through craft beers, they aim to celebrate Chinese culture, community, and craftsmanship. Moonzen has released over 100 beers since its humble launch, with each beer named after a Chinese mythology god, such as Moon Goddess Chocolate Stout and Monkey King. Moonzen strives to create beer flavours that represent different provinces in mainland China, such as Sichuan beer and Fujian pomelo beer. They also collaborate with local artists and Chinese calligraphers to design special beer versions, promoting local beer culture, supporting young artists, and engaging with the community.
