Overview

As part of the ICE President’s visit to the region, members of all grades are invited to join the discussion about how engineers can better integrate nature-based solutions in their designs and projects for the benefit of communities.

Joining ICE East Midlands regional chair James Kirkham and ICE President, Prof Anusha Shah – who has made the case for nature-based and people-positive solutions as we tackle our biggest environmental challenges are:

  • Janice Bradley MBE from the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust
  • Bryony Harrison, biodiversity project manager at Severn Trent
  • Ian Nicholson FICE, senior sustainability leader at Stantec
  • Alex McDonald, strategic senior flood risk management advisor at Environment Agency, East Midlands

This is a great opportunity to hear from regional organisations and projects that are already incorporating nature based solutions for the benefit of communities.

A buffet lunch and refreshments will be provided.
