Overview

The NEC4 (New engineering contracts) has a global track record for delivering all kinds and sizes of building and infrastructure projects on time, on budget and to the highest environmental and quality standards. Based on a spirit of mutual trust and collaboration, NEC Contracts facilitate the implementation of sound project management principles and practices.

Come and hear about how this works, how early warnings ensure anything that could affect time, cost or quality can be mitigated without delay. Change is dealt with by a fast and fair compensation event process which, together with a continually updated and agreed programme, ensures there are no surprises at completion. NEC4 can be used on any level of design or construction, with a number of payment options, or a full range of financial risk allocation.

Join Mike Ford, guest speaker. Mike will discuss the NEC4 suite of collaborative, flexible and clearly written contracts for the built environment procurement.

This session welcomes attendees to share their ‘contract horror stories’ and the event will share potential solutions under Chatham House Rules. This event has been organised by the ICE South Australia branch.

Light refreshments will be available from 17:30.
