Overview

Patrick Waterhouse, director of Bowden Consulting Ltd, will take you through the lessons that the industry has learned in the 7 years of working with NEC4 contracts.

The talk will answer questions such as:

  • Have the new processes had the desired effect?
  • Do the new early warnings work?
  • Are the incentives for the contractor to collaborate having any effect?
  • How do the new climate change clauses work? Do they work?

The new alliance contract and facilities management contracts have filled holes in the NEC4 suite. Patrick will explain all of these based on his experience of working with some of the industry’s leading players and as a mediator and adjudicator dealing with disputes.
