Overview

Join us for an Evening Lecture held by ICE NI Graduate and Student Committee discussing the National Transportation Authority in Dublin.

Joe Seymour – head of Active Travel investment will give an overview of Active Travel Projects carried out by his team for the National Transportation Authority (NTA) in Dublin, the Investment Team is comprised of Programme Managers and a Cycling Design Office which coordinate, monitor and provide advice to Local Authorities, during a time when expenditure on active travel in the Republic of Ireland has grown from approximately €40million in 2019 to €350million allocated in 2022. Joe will concentrate on what has been achieved since 2019 and what the plans for his team are for the future.

Joe Seymour

Joe is a Civil Engineering graduate of QUB and is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Ireland and Fellow of the CIHT. Joe has over 25 years’ experience as a Transportation Professional, which has been gained in both the public and private sector and has particular expertise in Traffic Engineering, having been responsible for the design of sustainable transport projects and urban improvement schemes in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is currently Head of Active Travel Investment with the National Transportation Authority in Ireland.
