Overview

Last Energy is a US company that develops small modular power plants containing 20 MWe pressurised water reactors. Robert Boswall, a commercial analyst at Last Energy, will delve into the hurdles confronting energy systems, explore the capability of nuclear power to address these challenges and envision the prospective landscape of the energy sector.

Small modular reactors may be a key to decarbonising energy infrastructure in the UK. Last Energy’s approach accelerates the time from final investment decision to the commercial online date to less than 24 months.

The talk is being live streamed from the University of Bristol.

It is the first event in 2024 from the ICE Bristol and Bath Early Careers Network, as part of a programme of webinars, talks, networking meetings and site visits.
