Overview

Join Chris Hughes from Arup to learn about the indigenous population to inform nature-based solutions, design and the challenges of delivery in the context of considerable political change.

Chris was previously based in Peru, leading a local and international team of advisors. Chris will cover the role of the advisory team in bringing international best practice to accelerate procurement, technical guidance in design, value engineering, capacity building and knowledge transfer to ensure a legacy for resilient infrastructure in the country.

This event will also hold an opportunity to discuss how the learning from this multi-billion dollar programme could add value in New Zealand.

Chris Hughes has approximately 34 years’ international experience in the delivery of water resources planning advisory consultancy and business development leadership in the water sector. This includes technical assurance and delivery, team leadership, client relationship management, business strategy development and implementation, as well as stakeholder engagement and influencing.
