Overview

ICE ECN London and Robert Bird Group (RBG) invite you to the Innovation Month keynote event, featuring RBG’s Expert VDC Team who will present their advanced virtual design technologies and practices.

In this presentation, Simon Houska and Matt Marsden will share the insights of Robert Bird Group’s ever-developing and industry-changing world of virtual design and construction (VDC).

Throughout history, advances in technology have aided mankind, turning once repetitive and labor-intensive efforts into precise and dependable outcomes. The Digital Era symbolises design liberation and the era of big data. Digital design methods have revolutionised the speed of translating initial concepts into final products, empowering designers to explore diverse ideas and make informed decisions efficiently.

The presentation will delve into the profound impact of RBG’s immersive 4D animations and top-tier VR models on enhancing risk management, cost avoidance, and overall project success. The speakers will share the advantages of RBG’s in-house developed platform, Reveal, which allows project stakeholders to engage, interact, and collaborate within a virtual environment for completed or ongoing construction projects. By implementing their innovative approach to virtual design and construction engineering on noteworthy projects such as Barcelona Camp Nou Stadium, Olympia G-Gate, Paddington Crossrail station, Robert Bird Group is at the forefront of driving the industry's digitalisation.

The event will be held at the Council Room at One Great George Street, on 13 May at 18.30. It will feature a one-hour presentation, followed by a Q&A session and networking opportunities with complimentary drinks and appetizers. Limited in-person slots are available; secure your spot by clicking the book now button.
