Caroline Goliath

Caroline is the knowledge manager for the UK Civils business unit of John Sisk & Son Limited and is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

She has worked in the infrastructure and built environment sector for 30 years, predominantly within business development and work winning. For the last 7 years, she has had a dedicated focus on knowledge management - capturing and sharing experience, best practice and lessons learned from projects. During her career, she has also co-authored a range of technical papers to add to the wider industry knowledge base.

Caroline is a passionate advocate for the value that non-technical roles add, not least in bringing alternative ways of thinking about solutions to meet the prevalent challenges of today’s society and in attracting the next generation to the industry.

She founded a support group for non-engineering professionals in John Sisk & Son Ltd hoping to pursue various membership grades with the ICE. As chair of the group, she is proud to share her own journey and the benefits that cognitive diversity can bring to the Institution, the company and the wider industry.
