Overview
The St Flour, Garabit and Millau weekend offers ICE members and friends an opportunity to explore two of France's most impressive engineering marvels: the Viaduc de Garabit, designed by Gustave Eiffel, and the Viaduc de Millau, the tallest viaduct in the world.
The event begins on Thursday 03 October 2024, with a welcome reception from the mayor of St Flour.
Friday includes visits to both viaducts, where we will be joined by Patricia Roches, president of the Friends of the Garabit Viaduct, and Michel Virlogeux, the lead engineer of the Millau Viaduct.
Saturday features a guided tour of St Flour, and Sunday concludes with a visit to the Chateau du Sailhant and lunch at a local restaurant with panoramic views.
