Overview

What needs to change to enable civil engineers in South Africa to improve productivity and increase efficiency and effectiveness?

ICE President Ed McCann invites ICE members in South Africa and across the wider Africa region to join an online meeting to discuss the themes of his 2021/22 presidency, outlined in his film, How to thrive in the 21st Century.

He’ll share his insights on why improving productivity in the industry is crucial to address the key challenges of today, including climate change, and he’ll explain why civil engineers need a relentless focus on efficiency and effectiveness.

The informal event is an opportunity for members in South Africa and across the wider Africa region to put their questions direct to the President and raise concerns about moving forward on productivity. Attendees will gain useful insights into how they can improve their own performance in this area.

Alain Jacquet, Director at SABEeX and ICE volunteer Representative for South Africa, will be chairing the discussion.
