Overview

The walk starts from West Malling railway station and will be approx. 7 miles long, 5 miles before lunch and 2 miles afterwards.

The route passes through open fields and woodlands and is in view of the southern slope of the North Downs. We will pass through West Malling, a moderate size market town and three developing villages: Leybourne, Birling and Ryarsh.

Places of interest along the way include the remains of Leybourne Castle and some interesting civil engineering structures.

Lunch will be at The Duke of Wellington in Ryarsh. Please register as soon as possible to assist lunch booking at the pub.
