Come along for an introduction to carbon assessments: what they are, how to approach them, and why they are so important for tackling our industry’s emissions. We will be joined by Dr Viet Luan Ho, Carbon Reduction Engineer at Tunley Engineering, to answer these questions and discuss his experience looking at ways to reduce emissions on engineering projects.

Correctly assessing the emissions of our projects - be it at construction, operation or decommissioning phase - is crucial if we are to reach the greenhouse gas reduction targets required in our industry. Not only is carbon an important metric to evaluate, assessing the key sources of emissions is also the best way to find the areas where we could be making changes to improve sustainability!

This talk will be covering the importance of carbon assessments in achieving emissions reduction targets, particularly in our field; the tools and information available to consider carbon on our projects; and specific examples of how we can reduce the carbon footprints of our projects in the construction industry!
