Impact of Urban Creep and Expansion
We present the first long-term study of the changing rate of urban creep and urban expansion, applied to the case of the Ouseburn catchment in Newcastle upon Tyne. Results show that such rates of increasing imperviousness vary in time, have produced a progressively faster catchment hydrologic response, and can be linked with socio-demographic factors.
